In January, the Centre for Future Affordable Sustainable Therapy Development (FAST) together with the ministry of VWS and the initiators of DECISIVE, organized an information meeting to brainstorm how to align the proposal with their policies and existing initiatives.

DECISIVE's ambition is to shape the nuclear medicine ecosystem together with all field stakeholders to strengthen the Dutch ecosystem's global leadership position. Several different stakeholders are already involved in DECISIVE, and close collaboration has occurred in preparation for the quick scan with the program directorate Medical Isotopes of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS). Following positive feedback from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) after the quick scan, the initiators now intend to work closely with field stakeholders to further develop the (pre)application.

The brainstorm meeting in January included representatives from the Ministries of VWS, Education, Culture and Science (OC&W), Infrastructure and Water Management (I&W), and Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK). Additionally, there was a delegation from RVO and the Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS). DECISIVE was represented by initiators Frank Nijsen, Julie Nonnekens, Andor Glaudemans, Sandra Heskamp, Bart Cornelissen, Alexander Turkin and a selection of involved field stakeholders Houke Klomp (NWZ), Ilon Metaal (STZ), Anke Hövels (KWF), Nicole van de Water (Novartis), Wim Oyen (Rijnstate, quarter maker Medical Isotopes), Arjan Bos (URENCO), Antonia Denkova (TU Delft), Ronald Schram (NRG/PALLAS), and Wim Boeckx (SHINE).
